Tbh I want shotlock to stay as a mechanic so I would not mind if it's just that again but with interactive finishers from BBS returning. But if it's something else that's cool too. Maybe another way of formchange?

Another thing I noticed about the gameplay portion. Sora's "EX" (unlabeled) gauge seems to fill up when dealing damage, unrelated to Build. It could just be shotlock again, but I think they're intentionally not letting us know what it is yet, since the gauge is functional.

Seems like the left arrow on the command menu from last year's screenshot is gone. Change in design decision or maybe just something that is unlocked later in the game?

@_xFenrir Feels like standing on rooftops might be the new Organization round room type of deal. I doubt they drop their whole animal theme but who knows 😭. They should at least keep the masks.

@uni_gree Yeah lowkey this whole cover feels chopped, should have the heart. The actual game has all the logos and sick covers so it's alright ig. The art itself is fine (without the AI nonsense) but I know Nomura's kicking himself after people pointed out the error on KH3 Sora's soles.

@keyxhunter Wish there was some type of visual behind the text too it feels off here but I'm glad this is happening

@akaCriminati I assumed we would meet both of them but Nomura's only ever hinted at Xehanort and now we've seen him alone in the game, maybe Eraqus wasn't as fortunate.

@keyxhunter Me too but I wonder if we'll see Eraqus then or will they have him doing something somewhere else

Looks like Xehanort is still wearing his old clothes or something similar under that coat.

Square has been reviving some of their mobile games as real console games as of late. I believe there's a chance that the Kingdom Hearts games could receive similar treatment with how relevant they are to KH4. But they would likely receive a more expensive presentation (or not).

@akaCriminati When Xehanort (and Eraqus) passed on at the end of Kh3, their image returned to this youthful appearance again. I think that form of Xehanort is the one that is now in Quadratum, just with his hair styled more like his slightly older self.

@keyxhunter But his hair looks like from the Dak Road era so maybe this is a version of him before he left the island and turned to darkness?

@Andy_Bru_ Yeah. I mistakenly called them crows but this might call back to the raven boys from ML, not that we really got to see that. The mobile games are turning out to be even more relevant than any of us imagined, curious.

Wait, the Build mechanic might actually end up doing exactly what I wanted from the combat in 4. To add more variety and magic based attacks into Sora's moveset, similar to commands.

So regarding the claims that Nomura used A.I to create this artwork, that is not what happened. It seems far more likely that the original artwork was drawn entirely by Nomura, but the version used for box art or promotional material was later upscaled using AI You can see evidence of this in several places. For example, Donald's left hand is not even visible in the original low resolution artwork (Original artwork). In the upscaled version, however, AI appears to have filled in the missing details and gave him 5 fingers, despite Donald Duck as usually have four fingers The same issue can be seen with the clock tower's hands. In the original artwork they appear normal, but in the AI upscaled version they become oddly curved and distorted, suggesting that the A.I was attempting to reconstruct details that were unclear in the source image In short, the original artwork appears to be fully hand drawn by Nomura. The problems people are pointing to are the result of the A.I upscaling that introduced these errors. His art got DLSS 5'ed
