I’m not a big numbers person because I don’t think they tell the full story but these NBA Finals numbers are crazy through two games: - Not a single Spur besides Champagnie is shooting over 35% from three while the Knicks have FOUR players shooting over 35% from three. - The Spurs don’t have a single player shooting over 45% from the field besides Harper while the Knicks have FIVE players shooting over 45% from the field. - Vassell is avg 9 rpg. That surprised me as well as Brunson averaging 2.5 steals per game. Crazy. - The Spurs are relying heavily on their starters & rookie bc Johnson aka Sixth Man of the Year is averaging just 12 mins per game this series. Kornet only 9 mins per game. Meanwhile Shamet is averaging 30+ mins per game for us. Interesting.

Since when is MSG an unwinnable environment? Spurs can easily snag game 3 and then try and steal game 4 if Wemby will give us full 48 mins. OKC crowd environment much more intense than MSG. They will prob play better not having to see so many Knicks fans on their home floor.

This Knicks run is going to age as one of the most overrated Finals runs we’ve ever seen. Hawks. Sixers. Cavs. And now a young, inexperienced Spurs team that looked emotionally spent after knocking off an injured OKC squad. The revisionist history that’s about to follow is going to be unbearable.

Woke up pissed. That was a tough one. Probably the toughest loss my soul has felt since 2013. This Knicks team is great but miss me with all the “ They are the much better team.” This young Spurs team is right there with them. A play here or there and this series is 2-0 Spurs, but it’s not. Keep fighting. Just get game 3.
