You know that culture is dead because no one successfully reckons with phones in film and literature. It’s like having westerns without the railroad. Phones and phone culture should be what 90% of movies and books are about.

Saw a hot guy reading Nietzsche on the train and immediately started praying for whatever girl whose life he’s ruining


I'm sure there is a critic I'm unconsciously quoting here but in a film-literate society we would 100% see his stuff as just middlebrow and not, like, the height of arthouse sophistication


POV: You are old fashioned

You read 100 book per year, but I read Dostoyevsky in Russian, Kafka in German, and Proust in French. We are not the same.


Not as original as A Court of Thorns and Roses.






That Roman Helmet Guy is routinely failing at basic intellectual concepts I learned in my 5th grade history and latin classes. He doesn't even understand the most basic methods and concepts you need to learn to be eligible for university in the first place.


Despite it all this scene is very sweet
