#Micronations News: By proclamation of the Estates of the Realm, effective from midnight on 22 September 2022, the Kingdom of Loreland shall be an independent state under the reign of His Majesty King Charles.

A great #environment initiative and one for other #micronations to follow! We will watch this closely and consider following in Dunland’s #wildlife footsteps!

@Dankfx @PopRelics @AP I think it is insofar as China is explicitly seeking a zero covid policy and has been even more draconian in its pursuit thereof. If it’s expending vast resources on a policy that is seen to be failing, when it is the only country pursuing that policy, then it’s newsworthy.

@PopRelics @AP The US isn’t pursuing a ‘zero covid’ strategy and maintaining strict lockdowns where people can’t even leave their house for groceries and if they have covid they have to report to detention centres. So there’s that difference.

@ClareLithua If it works, it works! We’ve opted for a mix of appointed and elected legislature. We probably won’t always have the citizen numbers to justify elections and such, and it’s always wise to be able to appoint those in the know the right roles. You didn’t need to know but still 😅
