This is forever controversial but IMO Spider-Man should have organic web-shooters. It's always seemed silly to me that his backstory is that a spider bit him and gave him Spider-Powers™ ... except for his most famous spider-power, which he made in a lab. For branding, you know.

@cd_hooks Just overheard a pilot talking about this at a bar this weekend. Said fuel prices are going up so fast that airlines are losing money on tickets sold just a few *weeks* ago. Said they'll likely start cancelling flights to clear the slate and make everyone re-book.

@girldrawsghosts There's a bunch of other clips from the trailer showing a clearly more vibrant color grading, so maybe not taking this one .5 second shot (of a clearly grey overcast scene that may or may not involve The Void) out of context before seeing *the context* is the better way to go.

@micyoung75 A single *week* of bombing Iran cost U.S. taxpayers $11 billion dollars. We could fund an entire "year* of USPS operating losses for less than a week's worth of carpet bombing. We have the money. we just don't have the right priorities.

Postmaster General David Steiner testified before Congress today with three options on the table. Option one: do nothing and USPS runs out of cash by February 2027. Option two: severe service cuts and stamps over a dollar, which Congress and the public will not accept. Option three: raise the $15 billion borrowing cap that has not moved since 1992. That cap should be $30 to $40 billion if adjusted for thirty years of inflation. Steiner did not arrive at that number through ideology. He ran the nation's largest waste management company and sat on the FedEx board. He said he did not understand how bad the crisis was until he took the job. "I'm not sure some of the people at the Postal Service realized how dramatic it was." Six hundred thousand career employees. Every rural route in Indiana. Every prescription that travels by mail to a Noblesville senior who does not drive. Every small business shipping package from a garage in Elkhart. All of it runs on an agency legally prohibited from borrowing what it needs to operate. "How long are employees going to work and vendors going to show up if we're not paying them?" That is the postmaster general of the United States talking to Congress today. The answer is not complicated. Lift the cap.

Happy St. Patrick's day, everyone! The iconic St. Patrick's Day parade scene in "The Fugitive" (1993) was filmed on March 17, 1993, during the actual Chicago parade. Without rehearsal, Harrison Ford & Tommy Lee Jones just went out into the crowd and did their thing, with camera operators running around trying to keep up. The entire sequence was shot in one take with a hand-held steady cam & hidden cameras in the crowd & was shot Documentary-style, grabbing whatever they could from the crowd. Many people didn't recognise Harrison Ford because of the way he was dressed, but Tommy Lee Jones, who was jumping around, was recognised & noticed due to the popularity of 'Under Siege' (1992).
