On the other hand if terrorism is defined as the use of violence against civilians for political purposes then top of the list for terror attacks is Israel followed by the United States. The lies this Senator tells regarding the run up to the Iran war, the total fiction on the diplomatic off ramp Iran was willing to accept prior to our initiation of combat, and the intentional distortion of the status of Iran’s nuclear program is off the charts. The clear intention of his statement is to deceive the American people into believing that a diplomatic path away from war was not present (it was handed to Trump on a golden platter; would have been a dramatic and amazing victory for Trump), and that war was the only option (it shouldn’t have been an option at all). The result of his fabrication and distortions have resulted in the choice of a war that has seen 13 brave Americans dying pointlessly, 200+ wounded, at least $200 billion lost (so far), and higher gas prices for the whole country. That’s the cost, so far, for efforts like Sen Johnson’s (and plenty of other elites lining up to join in the deception). Our country deserves better.

For me, you can't use the "45 minutes from destruction" lie from the Iraq war as an endless reason to never take preemptive action in the face of a clear and present danger. Iran have just demonstrated in the attack on Diego Garcia, that once again they lied. Their missles were never supposed to go that far. What else have they lied about? How close were they to nuclear? How could anyone consider leaving unchecked this growing danger? So it is now more and more likely it was the 'iSRAELIS' from a submarine in The Indian Ocean that fired the missiles at Diego Garcia trying to blame it on Iran. They also launched the drones at RAF Akrotiri. These LUNATICS are the real enemy as are their paid propagandists in the UK.
