I was born in Houston but moved with my family to Victoria BC when I was two years old. In my 20s I decided to move to the US (Oregon OIT) to go to school instead. Upon trying to get a student loan I ran into that wall. What is Selective Service?? I called my mom, and asked if she ever remembered signing me up for that (man that was a long shot). She actually somehow found the doc where I had signed up before 19. It was a damn proud moment.

A lot of people telling on themselves today for never signing up for Selective Service.

How many years have I followed you? A long time. Through eras. I always felt bad when I saw your McDs posts. That was when I knew the market had crashed. But damn, a year ago things looked bright, and I decided to follow in your footsteps, to give it all a try. First thing I do is get onto that hellsite called dex. It was a Sunday. I remember. I made a good trade that day! I got $20. But overall I lost $50. I kept looking at for a few days afterwards. I was just too scared to do anything, and rightly so because I am a dumbass and know nothing about trading, or markets, or any of it. Then I got drunk one night, as I was facing financial ruin because I wasn't getting enough packages for my courier route and thought "Hey! I'll use Grok and design a trading bot to do all that stuff for me so I don't have to! I need to quit my beer drinking habit, yes, but some of my best ideas... Well I am asking Grok on the timeline but it's taking a bit** Grok and I started GrrrBot in March last year if I remember right. I honestly can't believe I did that thing. I am still exhausted from that project. I built 1400 lines of code and in a really dumb way - all together! The first hang I was in was at calculating fees correctly. And also referencing a trade. That was Grok version 1, and I had to wait for an upgrade for a couple months. Then with Grok 2 I blew through the (do I even remember this right) fee issues, and was still working on the actual completed trade with the correct records. Grok 3 upgrade (yeah I took a break and waited) blew through that like nothing, and I had fixed everything major. I was ready just to experiment with custom strategies. It was the market that was depressing and I still haven't really got into it. I've been so busy with my stuff going on, it's been non-stop, and well, the market. If you ask me, I think this entire freaking crash is my fault. I decided to give it a try, I usually don't, because I know that everything I ever get involved in turns to ... and it always has. Another case in point, I recently invested heavily in tsla about 8 months ago. I might need some of that back soon. It's all a mess and I should have never gotten involved!! 🤣 But I am proud of GrrrBot. I wrote over 100 versions. I'm still tired. I'm also on version '420 sniper' but I keep putting it off. **Aha! Because I get to give back and protect the country that gave me everything. I went from waiting tables and failing out of community college to being part of a team and doing something that I believe matters I’ve met the best people from around the country from all walks of life. I learned a trade and kept people safe. And I’d do it all over again.
