❌ You will not be surprised to learn that #NCFC recorded season highs for crosses (37) and corners (13) on Saturday.
An 11th home defeat of the season is the most for a long period outside the top-flight.
All here in my six things👇🔰

@thomaseast77 @DraytonCanary1 @cjsouthwell1902 Yeah, though there does also seem to be a lack of variety or imagination in our attacking set pieces. We had loads of variations when Andy Hughes was doing it, and scored different types of set piece goals.
English

@mattjware @DraytonCanary1 @cjsouthwell1902 Exactly. Arsenal's set pieces are only as good as they are because of Rice, Saka, Madueke's delivery. Also, set piece coaching isn't just about scoring from them, it's about defending them too. I heard someone say we had one of the league's best records there
English

@leeroypatel @DraytonCanary1 @cjsouthwell1902 You’d think McConville, Cordoba, Field, Darling would get the odd headed goal but it doesn’t happen.
English

@mattjware @DraytonCanary1 @cjsouthwell1902 Tbh I don’t think we have hardly anyone who’s going to score a headed goal.
Crosses a bit of a waste of time with this squad. #ncfc
English

@DraytonCanary1 @cjsouthwell1902 It’s also about the delivery. Only Jacob Wright delivers a good corner, and he’s not good enough to start games.
English

@cjsouthwell1902 Nick Stanley
All I can see and say about corners
English

@humanmale1984 @cjsouthwell1902 Partly, but Millwall didn’t really press us or come at us and we controlled things from early on. Albeit both our goals in the second half were in transition. Still, we created three great chances first half when in control.
English

@mattjware @cjsouthwell1902 Think Clement is able to get us setup to absorb pressure and hit teams on the counter, which works better away when teams are more likely to come at you.
Thats why the early penalty on Saturday before Ipswich even registered a shot at goal was six an issue.
English

@JohnofOakTree @PeterDavidKirby @LeeJ02ncfc Yes I wouldn’t say they were established ‘big six’ clubs in what has become a money-sodden elite.
English

@PeterDavidKirby @mattjware @LeeJ02ncfc The rate of decline is another thing. Newcastle and Villa drifted from the top 6 to relegation over a handful of years. Spurs could do this in 2 years. Leeds did the same but that was in the shadow of a financial crisis and 2 players facing prosecution for a serious crime
English

@mattjware You’d think the majority would want to leave and there would be premier league clubs lined up. I can’t believe that squad is 18th
English

@Holtamania Depends if Diallo is another perma-sicknote, in which we seem to specialise
English

I agree with this. Not sure about LW with both AA and Diallo but otherwise, this.
Daniel Emery@DanieIEmery
@Kenty1985 All out of contract players, Medic, Kvistgaarden, Stacey, Forson and possibly Jurasek unless big Phil think he can get him going. RB, LCB, LB, RW, LW, and a back-up, experienced, CF (Hugill/Rhodes type)
English

@yarmy73 @RobinNCST I’m pretty sick of all our injury-prone left backs, yeah. Mahovo hasn’t been fit for well over a year now
English

@mattjware @RobinNCST Chrisene needs to get in the bin. I would just settle for an average left back that you can get guaranteed minutes. It impacts our game massively! No attacking down our left due to 2 right footers and pointless/aimless attacking down right due to Stacey!
English

@AdamBrandon84 Yeah agree with that part. Still think we’ve controlled games better away than at home though.
Selection today was a shocker, irrespective that it was the same team as Millwall (where we only scored after the subs)
English

@mattjware Home performances have been fine when we've picked the right players in the right positions. When I saw the XI today I just didn't understand why you'd start Field in midfield in this one and a RB at LB when it was not needed and also weakens our right-hand side. Madness #ncfc
English

@Elmswellrob Just facts, I was in the ground and your support was shit. We were shit too though
