I feel like MacBook Neo will likely be the following based on rumors and vibes: $799 8gb RAM (maybe no higher) 256gb SSD 12.9” display ~M1 level performance (plenty) Just $100 or so shy of brilliance

@SahilSatralkar sure but i don't think most people buying an iPad Air are buying it to run highly demanding apps (and even then, there aren't many of those)
i think most people are just buying it because its the mid tier iPad. yeah it has high performance but people aren't seeking it for that

One of the most impressive parts is the Apple Silicon transition on macOS is what made this possible
Without that integration years ago, this price, performance, and experience wouldn’t be possible

upgrading from 256GB to 512GB on other Macs still costs $200 (vs $100 on the MacBook Neo), wonder if they'll change that?
or maybe Mac mini/iMac will just start at 512GB with the next refresh, similar to MacBook Air yesterday
either way, interesting transition period we're in

@jvepng @RonanACNH unfortunately not, M2/M3/M4 iPad Air all have the same wallpaper and M4/M5 iPad Pro also have the same
same for iPad 10/11 and iPad mini 6/7 (sigh)

@tgod34748 Idk if I can see it scaling to iPhone and Apple Watch (especially iPhone, if they wanted to they would’ve with 17e) - but iPad neo almost feels like a no brainer
