there’s this fake divide between child free people and parents but having one child is probably less different from being child free than having 3+ kids is from having 1…does this make sense? Now that I have 2 kids, one is like none. If I had 3 I’d feel this way about having 2

We live in gentilly, by city park, and I can easily take my children to mid city on foot. Less than 2 miles from pandora for snowballs. ppl will still refer to where we live as the suburbs bc their concept of New Orleans is the fun parts

@wirmgurl I felt this way with my first baby. Not talking down to you just saying it got easier bc there are infinite choices to make and it’s inevitable that you have friends who are sahms, friends who aren’t, etc. and the infinite choices ppl make start to make sense as kids get older

It’s not ungrateful at all. It’s easy for most people to spend 20 dollars on some battery operated crap and then you either have endless crap in your house or you have a new chore to return/donate it. I buy the crap too-just saying I respect rules and also love a no gift party!

I used to think putting boundaries on gifts was horrible and ungrateful, then my MIL got my 1 year old a fish tank with a bunch of fish and accessories.
