@uncledoomer Pumped Up Kicks and Somebody That You Used to Know are future pop classics - they'll last and last - Seventeen Going Under is the last one to hit that spot.

its crazy that for millenials this was just a mid throwaway indie pop one hit wonder amidst hundreds of others during a golden age of indie music destined to be forgotten, but has recently been rediscovered because music right now is just that fucking bad

@bstuartTI There are many things wrong with it, that I'm not sure you can know unless you study animation from the ground up. Audiences might not know too, but they'll feel it. Like the direction of camera travel, the length of shots - stuff the AI isn't going to consider unless asked to.

The world isn't ready for this. But I am. Seedance 2.0 is going to drastically change filmmaking forever. I'm not being hyperbolic. This is 1 detailed prompt with 5 cuts specified and a single starter image. That's it. It's time to start directing.

This short film by former Pixar animator Rodrigo Blaas is genuinely disturbing. Alma (2009) delivers more unease in a few minutes than many full-length horror films.

@Matt_Pinner Smiley's People, Sandbaggers, Thriller, I Claudius, Tinker Tailor, Tales of the Unexpected, The Lotus Eaters. Basically the 1970s had very good TV.

Genndy Tartakovsky has shared a test animation clip from his new film ‘THE BLACK KNIGHT’ • Follows a knight who controls a 20ft tall suit of armor in the 14th century • Sony Animation is unsure if there is an audience for the film theatrically so they haven’t greenlit it

@ATRightMovies Having Kevin Feige in charge this long is like watching a foreign dictatorship cling to power. Comics have new creative teams regularly, MCU needs a change.

@SupermanHypeGuy Nah. It felt like it was directed by Whedon (as in, a bit televisual, banter-led). Some beautiful frames but was hoping for the scale of Fury Road or Dune 2, this suffered from a CW feel. Felt like dropping into a comic halfway, (I get it) but why not do it like a mini series?

@SuperTuberEddie I tried to describe it to friends, and 'lack of majesty' came to mind. Maybe it's because the film is played as a comedy - it's hard to get a sense of grandeur when you're laughing at everything. Shame, had very high hopes.

Here it is… my #Superman 2025 review. I absolutely welcome all constructive discussions and criticisms of my words. I give it a 5/10 😔 I didn’t go into this movie wanting to dislike it. I genuinely hoped to walk out surprised, impressed, maybe even inspired. Because the truth is Superman is a huge part of me. I’ve loved every major version of the character throughout my life from the classic films, to animated series, to comics, and especially Smallville, which remains my absolute favourite. Each of those versions brought something new, but they all understood the essence of who Superman is: not just a man with powers, but a symbol of hope, of restraint, of compassion, and of hard choices made for the right reasons. That’s what makes this film so upsetting. It isn’t just that it falls short. It feels like a betrayal of the character at his core. This Superman talks about doing the right thing, about saving lives and standing for something greater, but the world around him never challenges him, never forces him to prove that commitment. His morality is all surface… stated, but never tested. And for a character built entirely on the choice to be good, to do the right thing even when it’s hard, that hollowness hits hard.
