@SplurtCobain I don’t think you understand the impact a title makes and that’s my whole point. Don’t link your movie to an iconic title like “The Mummy” if you aren’t willing to do the originals justice. They could’ve titled it “Children of the Mummy” and no one would compare it to The Mummy

@mitchell_films Again, Spiderman is a character from a specific story. Frankenstein is a character from a specific story. Mummies are not specific characters. They're like zombies. If they had named the mummy Imhotep (the name in the 1930s and Fraser films) in this movie, then I would agree.

@mitchell_films @kevinHeimbach13 Frankenstein's Monster is a character in a specific story. Mummification was a real process that humans did for thousands of years. Living mummies became a theme in the 1800s as romantic interests and then only became seen as monsters in the 1930s because of the film.

A problem I have with both Wolf Man (2025) and The Mummy (2026) is that they drop the ball with the monster designs. I am totally cool with completely reinventing a classic movie monster but you really have to come up with something that's iconic in its own right.

@tarpitss I like the 80s era of the Avengers. Especially the event comics like Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity Wars, Secret Wars, ect… I love the era with Black Knight, She Hulk, Ironman, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Quick Silver. Sometimes Spiderman would show up
