Anyone know why a Meta headset would go to sleep on its own in a couple minutes even if you’ve specifically told it to not sleep or even turn off the screen for 4 hours? I’m trying to run a big co-located mixed reality experience over here !

I can't believe that once I have isolated a scene with game elements but without running the game at all, I found out that on some devices the real killer is the GPU skinning! Massive difference sigh. We don't have too many vertices though, so maybe data format issue?

can we set the vertex stream format in unity? For example, if currently it's everything interleaved, does it mean that the shadow pass is uploading all the extra information that is not necessary to render shadows?

@sebify @aras_p You have to script it yourself, we did it as an asset processor script at import time. At the same time you can pack things how you like in terms of format, so it is useful

@aras_p so there is no option for imported meshes? The question was more about imported meshes. I suppose I can create a mesh programmatically from an imported mesh. I wonder if anyone did this test, on mobile it could make a difference.

I’m excited for the potential of volumes that not only work well in a chocolate & vanilla kind of way, but directly serve as multipliers to the others. Imagine a “volume” that contains a desk lamp that illuminates 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. Tho it’s up to Apple to even allow that.
