Agree. While #COVID is widely circulating, post organ transplant recipients and other vulnerable people with 3/4 shots should be able to get their medications and buy groceries in a fully masked environment.

@Chris_Ryan_Sim @CP24 Because we're in a period of high transmission that was going to happen regardless. That's like saying you barely got any mosquito bites durring the day over the evening. The wave will balance out, just be patient. Wave 5 was nothing and wave 6 won't be that big a deal ethier.

@CP24 To all the "masks don't work" crowd, my daughter's school had 3 cases throughout the entire year. Once mandates dropped they are averaging about 3 a day. Not sure why people can't even suffer the minor inconvenience of wearing one.

@NaheedD We have. Vaccines are doing exactly what they are supposed to do, keeping people out of hospital. Nearly everyone contracting Covid is ethier recovering from a mild ilness or is asymptomatic. Mandates only bought us time before. People need to assess their owm personal risk now.

Why is our goal to make sure we have enough hospital beds for people who get sick from COVID?...Why isn't our goal to re-start using even the most basic of protections that we have (e.g. mask mandates) to reduce the number of people who get sick from COVID in the first place?

@brianlilley The way I see it is if the Ford Government holds the line, hospital cases remain manageable and in 3 weeks time we begin to move on from this wave, these statements from the opposition are a golden ticket to another 4 year term for Ford. No one's voting yes for restrictions.

No one's scolding you for choosing to wear one, so be a decent human being and be respectful to others. We have modern medical breakthroughs keeping hospitalizations down, so sure seems like we're following the science.

@Lynn84839155 @drmwarner For a bit longer? Look at the time between waves 5 & 6. There will ALWAYS be more waves. The important part is the impact is currently small on hospitals. If your compromised maybe stay home for 3 weeks. That's taking responsibility for your personal health.

@mwfitzpatrick @drmwarner Not everybody can afford home delivery and not everybody has a vehicle to do curbside pickup. Is it really so much to ask to wear a mask in those few setting where people out of necessity need to be? For just a bit longer…….it’s not everywhere
