@jimstewartson I really wish the full recording came out in full quality. It’s the one I want to add to the archive the most. I have an ammo box they gave out from the gig. My favorite item in my collection.

How the best concert I ever saw helped me figure out QAnon This video from 16 years ago is from an alternate reality game (ARG)—created by a company I co-founded—for the Nine Inch Nails record “Year Zero.” Through a series of “rabbitholes” we had directed NIN fans into an alternate reality created by Trent Reznor, which presented a dystopian world in 2015 (the irony) that previewed a lot of what we’re seeing right now. By the end of a several months-long hybrid online/real world experience (that did not present itself as a “game”) we entertained a lot of people in Trent’s world, especially, but not only, NIN fans. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_Zero… The finale of the experience is captured in a shortened form below, the full 30 minute concert is here: youtu.be/bgRUNAvq94k?si… I was not a huge NIN before I was lucky enough to be one of the 50 people in the audience at this show—as a plant. By the end of it my forehead was bleeding from being bashed into a pole by a fake raid of futuristic gestapo but I had a blast and so did everyone who participated. However, this also showed me some things that were quite powerful, and in the wrong hands, quite dangerous. We had managed to get 50 of the most hardcore “players” of the game to give up all of their rights by literally signing away any liability for anything while they were sitting on an old bus with tinfoil on the windows, including masked men with guns. We did not tell them where they were going. But they did it anyway. We assailed them for their irresponsible decisions. The “cult leader” we cast for the role—a brilliant actor, btw—says “We could have done ANYTHING to you.” He was telling the truth. When I first saw what QAnon was doing, 3 1/2 years ago, I knew they were copying our work. But we ran our projects for fun, for entertainment, QAnon was doing the same thing to hoax people, to capture their minds to take away their empathy and their free will. It pissed me off. I’m tired of these people ruining everything. #ArrestMikeFlynn

@ninlive Sorting thru my old DVDs and I have some info for the 2005-07-10 show. I got an incomplete MPG of the same source from a trade decades ago. MPG is 720x576 (higher than the DVD copy on ninlive) but cuts out at 29:37. txt says "Recorded, edited and shared by Absinthex"
