Building relationships with families is important to student success! This month’s Parent Academy focused on ensuring families understand the IEP process, strategies utilized to support their learning, and the importance of student’s advocating for themselves! @MonroePrincipal

Last day before break and scholars participated in Winter Fest…gingerbread house making, soccer, slime making, art, bracelet making, movies, video games, human bowling, etc. A great way to begin the holiday season!! @MonroePrincipal

NOMS was in New York City today with almost ninety 7th and 8th grade scholars. We had lunch, visited Times Square, and saw The Outsiders on Broadway! Great show with several thought provoking messages! @MonroePrincipal

Today, we celebrated the retirement of a very special NOMS family member! After eight years at NOMS and many in education, Ms. Tarver-Smith, dedicated Parent Engagement Coordinator, heads into her next exciting chapter! We are so thankful and wish you well! @MonroePrincipal

At NOMS, we celebrate hard work and success! Almost 300 scholars who earned Q1 Honor Roll enjoyed the day at Main Event (6th grade) or Dave & Busters (7th/8th grade). Food, games, bowling, and of course lots of fun! @MonroePrincipal

Today, almost 450 scholars who earned at least 96% attendance during quarter one enjoyed a day of food and fun at Skate Zone! @MonroePrincipal

Scholars who were successful in their classes quarter one, had no detention, ISS, or suspension, and missed no more than two days enjoyed today’s Fall Fun Fest! Food trucks, slime making, games, dancing, soccer, basketball, movies, etc! They had a great time! @MonroePrincipal
