Space City? No, the Eternal City.

I can’t begin to describe how much joy I’ve gotten from a brief amount of Marathon beta played this weekend. Anyone complaining about the “font slop” wasn’t there for the original series, because it’s given me a huge nostalgia rush.

I’m on the verge of missing the opportunity to dress as Trillian and throw a Hitchhiker’s Guide themed party for my 42nd next month…

Because I’m a woman on the internet, the algorithm sends me content such as “things you can do to glow up in a month.” Let me tell you that half of them I was already doing, and the other half was unscientific nonsense. So I guess this is peak! Next stop: stagnation and decline!

I’m trying to document my past costumes, but it’s an ordeal. Also trying to be more comfortable in front of the camera again. Have a silly one for reading along :) x

Another question for Americans: do you say “pennies” instead of coins (ie: that’s four cents, so you just need four more pennies) or am I just being clocked as British immediately

@outpt + a little less self critical. Not that it goes away completely as you get older but everyone 30+ seems to certainly be a lot less self critical and seems to be so much more secure in themselves or are at least willing to chase their true self

Your 20s are for waking up anxious because you don’t have your entire life sorted out, doomscrolling, pausing to post about gay fictional characters, feeling jealous of your 30 yr old friends who seem to have it more figured out (they don’t), then having another anxiety attack

@ProtagonistIvy I used to be a smug little academic brat, no fun! Now I’ll make self-deprecating jokes and can turn my worst life events into humorous anecdotes. The long-view effect is real! Like an armchair, the years of living in your body and mind mold them to be comfortable spaces.

@outpt + it’s really comforting to see people like you and be like, well they’re doing good even after having life changes and all sorts of life events and they probably aren’t where they thought they would be at 22, but they’re still doing good and making it day by day
