Mir Asif Ali from Bankura has been arrested for having links with Al Qaeda. Asif, a resident of Bankura in West Bengal, was arrested by Telangana Police for attempting to build a sleeper cell network across India. He is one of 12 individuals arrested in a joint operation by Telangana Police and Delhi Police. Police said his X account contained pictures of him holding an AK-47. He was traced through the mobile number linked to the account. He was in contact with handlers in Pakistan and was trying to recruit more people from West Bengal to establish a Bengal-based Al Qaeda network.

@Dravidict I was more disappointed with Srinath’s meekness. Most other fast bowlers would have been fired up. I don’t think Ponting would have dared to react that way against Allan Donald or Shoaib Akhtar or Dale Steyn etc.

A 16-year-old Hindu boy was stabbed to death by his friend Faizan in Mumbai. Faizan brutally stabbed Prem Harijan in the chest and also attacked his friend Harsh Jha with a knife near Harba Mauli Bridge after a minor argument. Prem died; Harsh is in critical condition. Police arrested the accused.

@crazyGaurav_ @AMP86793444 Was it rebel? Kapil Dev directed it, right? It was probably “rebel” in the sense that BCCI didn’t allow it to flourish. I also vaguely recall that BCCI went with a vengeance against all the players who participated in ICL. Did any player play in both ICL and IPL? @nimishdubey
