Mark Wood recalled a bizarre IPL moment where a franchise owner offered to fly him by private jet for a match despite him being seriously ill. He declined, choosing his health, but described it as a surreal experience. Can you guess the franchise?

Happy Birthday Jacques Rudolph In April 2003, he scored an unbeaten 222 on Test debut against Bangladesh. Four more centuries followed in the next three years. Despite early success, a poor run against Australia hurt his prospects. He played 48 Tests (2622 runs at 35.43 with 9 hundreds) & 45 ODIs (1174 runs at 35.57). He moved to Yorkshire in 2007, returned in 2010 with strong domestic form for Titans, and earned a recall. Later, he joined Glamorgan in 2013 and became captain in 2015.

As per Abhishek Tripathi, BCCI is considering implementing stricter regulations around the presence of players’ girlfriends during the IPL, with discussions already underway internally. • BCCI is reportedly preparing to enforce stricter rules concerning what it terms “girlfriend culture” within teams. • The board aims to act cautiously to avoid any potential controversies or major missteps in the future. • It has been observed that some players are currently staying with their girlfriends in team hotels. • A BCCI official has confirmed that the matter will be formally discussed before any final decision is taken. • The board has clarified that wives and family members are not an issue, but concerns have specifically been raised about girlfriends. • If approved, these new regulations could be implemented from IPL 2027. • The BCCI believes that without clear guidelines, such situations could potentially lead to controversies in the future.

And we could have won in WI 2 yrs later had we chased 120 at Barbados. This was still a very good WI side. Remember they didn't lose another home series after this till Sa beat them in 2001. Even Aus drew in 99 in that famous Lara series.

When Australia ended West Indies’ 15-year dominance. #OnThisDay in 1995, Australia became the first side in 15 years to defeat West Indies in a Test series - a moment that marked a seismic shift in world cricket. The Australian players celebrated the historic triumph late into the night, but for Steve Waugh, the emotion ran deeper. He famously went to sleep still wearing his whites, socks, and baggy green cap - a reflection of just how much the victory meant to him. That win in Jamaica wasn’t just a series result; it signalled the beginning of a new era for Australian cricket. It was also a defining chapter in Waugh’s career, as his resilience and match-winning 200 became one of the cornerstones of his enduring legacy.
