On top of tariffs and HR1 threatening healthcare and food security, the administration is now proposing drastic funding changes at HUD. These cuts would strip critical resources from supportive services and building affordable homes, causing more homelessness.

[BILL ALERT] SB 79, which broadly legalizes more homes near high quality transit stops, has passed the Assembly appropriations committee! The bill now goes to an Assembly floor vote, then back to the Senate for concurrence.

With a 4% drop in homelessness & unsheltered homelessness down 9.5%, this year’s Homeless Count is trending downward in Los Angeles County. While this trend is encouraging, challenges remain. Continued focus on collaboration, prevention, & housing is required for more progress.
