There are over 18 million identity-verified users on Pi.
But there is one clear difference between Pi’s users and others.
1 million verified users on Pi ≠ 1 million users on other networks.
Most networks measure growth in accounts.
Few measure it in verified users.
There’s a difference.
Pi recognized the importance of identity verification early on and that unverified account creation is simply not enough. Verified identities are needed for any meaningful transactions, especially in real-world economies.
Any time an asset (like crypto, fiat currency, property, etc.) is transferred, it raises a basic question of identity: who is sending it, and who is receiving it. If those identities aren’t clear, it becomes difficult to trust that the transfer is valid or that it went to the right person.
Therefore, Pi Network has built a fully KYC-verified Mainnet ecosystem.
Because when users are verified:
Spam drops.
Trust increases.
Utility becomes more reliable.

Pi Network has released an RPC server, currently available on Testnet, supporting the development, testing, and future deployment of smart contracts within the Pi ecosystem.
The RPC server enables developers to build responsive applications, test contract behavior, and integrate services using real-time blockchain data.
Node operators and third-party services can also run their own RPC servers.

wPI = Wrapped Pi: This is the "wrapped" version of Pi coin from Pi Network.
How it works 👇:
- When a user deposits Pi on Pi Network, the cross-chain relayer will automatically mint (recreate) wPI.
- Conversely, when redeeming, the relayer will burn (discard) wPI.
Smart contracts for the WPI token are currently under development.

Everything is transparent, automated, and no one (including the Pi team) can arbitrarily access or modify it. Read and share👇

- Buying and selling NFTs, tokens, and digital assets
- Milestone payments
- Service contracts, investments, and partnerships
- Support for launchpads and other DeFi features
Operates through 4 distinct states on the chain:
- Create: Creates the contract and records the conditions
- Lock: Locks the funds (the funds are held securely)
- Release: Automatically or conditionally → payment to the recipient
- Dispute/Cancel: Dispute or cancellation → refund or arbitration
The entire process is permanently recorded on the blockchain, and anyone can verify it.
Before official release:
- Must have a 100% clear state machine
- Strict security audit to avoid errors and abuse Uses
👉 In short: Escrow allows two parties to transact safely, quickly, and transparently without needing to trust each other.

Rewards were calculated for over 526 million validation tasks completed by more than 1 million KYC validators.

🔥 Official announcement from @PiCoreTeam 📢: Pi KYC Validator Rewards: First Round of Distributions Completed 👇 - KYC Validator Rewards are Pi rewards given to Pioneers who perform manual KYC identity verifications, working together with AI. - Round 1 distribution has been completed, with payments starting on Pi Day (March 14, 2026). - Eligibility: You must be a registered KYC Validator, have completed at least 50 successful validations with majority agreement before March 5, 2026, and have a Mainnet Wallet set up. - Total rewards pool for Round 1: 26,568,774 Pi (16.57 million from migrated Pioneers + 10 million sponsored by the Pi Foundation). - Reward rate: Each successful validation earned approximately 0.0504 Pi — about 22 times higher than the current base mining rate. - Scale of work: Over 1 million validators performed more than 526 million successful validations. - How it works: Each KYC application requires an average of about 20 validations. A validation is successful only if there is majority agreement among validators (including liveness checks and document verification). - Payment: Rewards are automatically and directly transferred to the validator’s Mainnet Pi Wallet. - Future improvements: The performance algorithm will be enhanced for the next round. To complete first or second migrations, Pioneers must set up Pi Wallet two-factor authentication (2FA) through Step 3 of the Mainnet Checklist.
This step is required to further strengthen account and wallet security before real Pi is transferred, an irreversible and immutable blockchain transaction.
To complete 2FA, Pioneers may need to add a trusted email address if one has not been set up yet.
