This is nothing but mockery of the august House. As always @jkpdp MLAs are trying to mislead people of J&K in the name of Private Member Bills'. You need 46 MLAs to pass a Bill not 3 or 4 MLAs. Also this bill which falls somehwere at Serial No 58 won’t come up before 2028, let alone pass. Unfortunately @jkpdp drama-obsessed MLAs have turned the House into a social-media stage. The #JKAS2024 selection list is not just a discrepancy—it smells like a deep-rooted RECRUITMENT MAFIA at work! 🚨 How is it possible that candidates like Navritu Sharma (Rank 88), Umesh Deval (Rank 76), and Shivali Sharma (Rank 64)—who were selected in Open Merit for JKPSI/FAA in 2022 and have been drawing 80k+ monthly salaries—suddenly qualified under EWS? If they were 'Open Merit' when jobless, how did they become 'Economically Weaker' after 3 years of Gazetted/Government service? This is a brazen theft of the "Haqq" of the poor! 🛑 Reports of candidates like Nanita Sharma (Rank 71) getting EWS despite a father in the Revenue Dept with 1 lac+ salary are sickening. Is the Revenue Dept issuing certificates to their own kin to steal from the needy? I am demanding a MASSIVE AUDIT of all EWS and Category certificates of the 90 selectees. I am filing a series of RTIs tonight to gain access to all similar selection data from 2019 onwards. The @OfficeOfLGJandK must order an independent judicial inquiry immediately. Allah is kind. My father had a very close shave. The details are sketchy at the moment but what is known is that a man with a loaded pistol was able to get within point blank range & discharge a shot. It was only the close protection team that deflected the shot & ensured that the assassination attempt failed. There are more questions than answers at the moment including but not limited to how someone was able to get this close to a Z+ NSG protected former CM.

From the Valley of Kashmir to Pir Panjal and Jammu, the unity in grief and condemnation over the events in Iran shown by the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir, as one Ummah, is commendable. It reflects the living moral conscience of our society, standing firmly against oppression and unwaveringly with the oppressed. The shutdown observed across the region is a peaceful and powerful expression of that solidarity. The right to peaceful protest and expression of wounded sentiments must be respected. Reports of protesters and mourners, including women and minors, being detained are unfortunate and unwarranted. As is the filing of FIRs and the withholding of accounts of local media outlets for covering protests by social media platforms, including Facebook, under enforcement laws of the land. The authorities should release all those detained and seriously relook at their policy of continued censorship and punishment for freedom of expression.
