In his opening remarks for the workshop, the ES of @ScienceTechRw, @emutimura, emphasized that strategic foresight is key to shaping resilient STI policies, anticipating future challenges & positioning Rwanda as a knowledge-based economy.

Happening now: @ScienceTechRw in collaboration with @NEPAD_Agency and partners is convening a 3-day Training Workshop on Strategic STI Foresight. The training shall equip participants with tools to anticipate trends, strengthen evidence-based policymaking.

The training brought together 18 enumerators and 2 supervisors, who engaged in practical simulations and digital data collection exercises.

@ScienceTechRw has successfully completed today, a 2-days training of enumerators for the Assessment of the Status, Adoption, Application and Impact of Emerging Technologies in Rwanda. Participants have been well equipped with necessary tools for high-quality data collection.

He further highlighted Rwanda’s National Data Sharing Policy, research funding instruments, and national repository as key steps to promote collaboration, visibility, and impact

On Day 2 of the 4th EAC Regional STI Conference, the ES @ScienceTechRw emphasized in a Panel discussion that advancing #OpenScience in Africa requires strong national ownership, enabling policies, and governance reforms.
