Got a big breeder out of the swamp today, and that’s the kind of catch that matters. The bigger they are, the more of a threat they become to native wildlife. Every one we remove is a step in the right direction.

I wanted to show y’all how important these dogs are when we’re working a python. While Trouble had that snake’s full attention, I was able to move in and touch the python without it taking its focus off her. That’s not an accident. A good dog can help control the situation, apply pressure to the python, and give us a better chance to get our hands on it. Trouble did exactly what she was supposed to do.

Bloo is really getting the hang of it now, and the second that boat slows down, he’s ready to launch. You can feel how fired up he gets when he knows it’s time to go to work.

Uzi is really starting to get the hang of catching iguanas. Every trip out, you can see things clicking a little more, the confidence, the focus, and knowing how to make the right move when the moment comes.

I always take time to talk with people when they come out while I’m iguana hunting. A lot of folks do not realize how big of a problem these invasive iguanas really are, so I try to help them understand why I’m out there doing what I do.

Florida will make you deal with some wild stuff real quick. Iguanas are one thing… but a ceiling full of spiders under a bridge is a whole different problem.

Bloo is learning what it takes to catch live iguanas, and he’s getting better every time out. Watching these dogs figure it out, build confidence, and put the pieces together is one of the best parts of the job.

Iguanas are a big problem in Florida. They breed fast, tear up yards, wreck seawalls, and cause all kinds of trouble. That’s why we stay after them.

Watching a young girl find the courage to grab a python is flat out awesome. Plenty of grown men would not even try it, but she pushed through the fear and did it anyway. That is how confidence is built.

I spotted a big orange iguana on a private island, and he kept finding ways to slip away from me. But once I laid eyes on him, I knew one thing for sure… I wasn’t leaving that island until I got him.

Call it a 2 for 1 special. Took a few shots to get that iguana out of the tree, and in the process we helped trim up the branches too.

Watching old videos of Otto always makes me happy. So many good memories, so much heart, and one unforgettable dog that left his mark on me forever.

Trouble was trying her best to climb up a tree, and lo and behold, there was an iguana sitting in it. She may be a handful, but that dog knows when something is up.
