Dont worry i got this, no need to beg game producer to release something you would be happy to pay for, its embarassing. They would outsource it anyway, only god knows if it would be even playable...

If Tekken devs want a whole new audience, why not just release a Tekken Legacy Collection and then continue on with this aggressive direction in Tekken 8? Complaints will be reduced because the old Tekken will be playable via Steam and the new audience will be happy with Tekken 8?

DOA2 has both: rollback via flycast and kbd thats also very safe

I was wrong about "cannot KBD in DOA" I skimmed like four Top 8 matches and wasn't able to find any KBD until Evo 2018 grand finals, so I assumed that even if it was a thing, it wasn't competitively relevant. Then some DOA players including Rikuto himself corrected me with some clips and explanations, which was cool If DOA6 or 5LR had rollback I'd be interested in giving them a spin and see how much I could abuse KBD, because in-and-out spacing mindgames are more fun to me than up-close string mindgames I stand on the VF stuff though😛

Arkadyzja supports Tekken 3 & Tag1 with rollback. Can we have Tekken 5 DR rollback with reverse engineering? Here's WIP 2p versus running on single ppsspp emu,offline,patched network checks,injecting local input for both players. Back to basics - slippi style + retrobuda client.

@rencoding The NA relay server was unplayable. We all tried it. It was much worse than RPCS3 even when both people were close in distance. Not trying to hate. Just our experience it did not run smoothly at all.

So far its very suboptimal, psp version is better to work with on many levels. Its already very playable within EU.

Low ping scenario - PPSSPP Tekken Dark Resurrection via relay server is alot better than RPCS3 in terms of input delay and very easy to setup. Its also cross-platform netplay with literaly everything youtube.com/watch?v=LfrHhn…

The only time window to release classic tekkens with proper netplay is after last season of tekken 8, but before tekken 9 (for maximum profit and safe low impact)

Sure, namco swapped the community in 2 games timespan(t7,t8). If you know whats korean backdash and frametrap then youre already a member of statistically insignificant , aging minority of their clientbase. All the T8 'improvements' are just PR damage control but direction is set

Tekken 3 and Tag1 already has rollback on pc via emulation. Something so obvious for 2d players is somehow too hard for most tekken players to pick up. For namco its too is too much work anyway, psp classics is enough to steal money from unaware players.

I wish Bandai Namco would release a Tekken Legacy Collection with Tag, Tag 2, DR, BR on modern systems with rollback. People might appreciate Tekken 8’s batshit-craziness if they could also jump into a slower, more intentional era of Tekken sometimes. Both styles can coexist.

Probably none, my ps2 netplay has zero advantages over dolphin, if deadly aliance scene doesnt exist today - it wont appear on arkadyzja. I expect business as usual: only ttt,t4,t5 and a bit of sc3, which is kinda sad but expected

No, gamecube already has great coverage with dolphin netplay and slippi, the community is just not there for it. Soul Calibur 2 and MK Deadly Aliance netplay should be going strong already.

@rencoding to be honest, fightcade could create a dedicated 240p front end to support arcade cabs as well… but no one in their team cares

Sure i can add 6 player rollback for fbneo on arkadyzja. The only reason its limited to 4 is because i didnt knew about this x-men lol. Upcoming PS2 will support 8 players(2 multitaps fifa/nba etc). Most people dont care but for me 3+ player support is a high priority.
