@DavidBLowry USDA has purchased multiple pacbio machines for sequencing insect pest genomes. I'm surprised a similar investment isn't there for all crops.

@byjoelanderson Hobby is great. At IAH you wouldn't have been able to even enter the rental car lot because of road construction.

Showed up at this bootleg rental car place, which opened 10 minutes late and with no shuttle driver. So the one employee who made the mistake of coming to work on time had to take a man late for his flight to the drop-off point in his own car lol

Few things in my life have been as consistently chaotic as flying out of Hobby airport in the early morning.

Salmon fishing w/ my son in Ketchikan, Alaska, but all we caught was this cute little sculpin. The restaurant nearby was serving them fried in tacos. 🎣 🌮
