@aelen_altria 日本人でも「ルールはルールだ」で思考停止しているわけではないと思う。
日本人の中にはルールを守った上で意見を言うか、ルールが必要になる前に意見する人もいる。

Living in Japan for 6 years, I also think the root of discussion is the controversy between "rules" and "one's own moral sense".
In Japan, it's said "rules are rules", period. It doesn't need to be explained.
In the West, you need to explain why the rule was made into a rule.

お前みたいな奴がいるからチケットの販売先を制限してるんだよ。それでも盗撮する奴は出るし、それを平気で利用するお前みたいな奴がいるわけだが。

@nalltama That does always work. I tried to buy a concert livestream ticket in 2022 or 2023 and the company absolutely refused to let me buy it. My only option would have been to pirate it because it never released on DvD. I wanted to give the artist money and japan refused.

実際に最近もガイドラインを守らない同人活動者が叩かれているしね。
ある程度、自浄作用があるから同人文化が残っているのだと僕は思う。

@rikucomp @ultraviolet343 Not really. Its pretty much just removing yourself from the anime fandom if you're not going to discuss the current airing anime.
The culture of fansubs goes back to the 80s in America, its just part of anime for us. We don't think of it as anything wrong or bad.

@rikucomp To give an example, Madoka was one of the first anime that all the West was watching as it aired as fan translations coming same day was just getting popular at that time. Having everyone watch and talk about it at the same time was an experience you couldn't emulate just waiting

ネタバレを避けるために海賊版を利用する人がいるらしい。頑張って避けられないものなのかね。

@rikucomp @ultraviolet343 When new anime come out, its part of the public osmosis and everyone is talking about it. If you don't pirate it, you'll be left behind and get all the spoilers before you can watch it. "Waiting" is always the worst way to experience media.

なら、その作品に関する話題に触れられないようにフィルターをかければいい。それなら現実的だろ。

@rikucomp @ultraviolet343 It can take years for some anime to get officially localized releases. "Just don't use social media for years" isn't a good recommendation.

日本ではネタバレを避けるため、自分の視聴が終わるまでSNSにアクセスしない人もいるよ。
そこまではできないのかな？
もしくは、皆一斉に海賊版での視聴をやめれば日本語にフィルターをかけるだけでネタバレを避けられるんじゃないか？やろうぜ！

しかし、海賊版は長期的には売上を伸ばすってことだけど売り上げにならない期間はどうするんだい？
売り上げが少ない影響で続編が作成されないアニメや描くのをやめてしまった漫画家もいるんだよ。
そういう人を守りたいから声をあげているんだよ。

私なら待つんだけどな。

@rikucomp Not really. In America alone, Roughly 45 million people have watched Japanese anime on Netflix - and roughly 6 million people buy Crunchyroll here to watch it. Again, it's more lack of a proper service issue that leads to pirating specifically unavailable content.

@CURSEis @ootaushiichi If you want an example of how bad corporate culture can be, just ask Amazon US. They put boxes or covers over workers who have died or collapsed in the warehouse, and tell their employees to ignore them until the ambulance arrives.
