We run two wonderful schools in Scunthorpe - Oasis Academy Parkwood and Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue. So we are thankful to government for the huge steps they are taking to secure a more hopeful future not only for British Steel but for our children and their families.

In light of recent events I really want to get this off the ground. Does anybody know a steelworker who would be interested in being in a film I have just wrote a script for. Really keen to get this one shot asap!!

Hi @BootsUK, placed an order last Saturday 22 March for £85 which hasn’t arrived. Your helpline accept this but say your policy is to wait 21 days from today before issuing a refund or replacement. Is it really your policy to keep customer’s money for up to a month?

Scunthorpe is a proud, generous town and as we’ve done many times before we’ll pull together and come back even stronger. In the meantime, if you know someone affected by today’s news, give them a call, go round for a cuppa and let them know you’re here for them ❤️

As I got on the train at Scunthorpe yesterday I looked over, as I always do, at the British Steel blast furnaces. One of my favourite views and always reminds me of my dad. Thinking of my friends, family & everyone coming to terms with what this means for them & our town tonight.

🦾 UCNL is 1 of only 18 institutions in the UK with certain robotics and 3D printing equipment available to students. 🏛️ The listed building is home to a remarkable section of Roman road and the roof of the old council chamber inspired by the British Steel cooling towers. 2/3
