Folks, this is bad. Very, very bad. Hackers and/or malicious insiders have leaked the platform certificates of several vendors. These are used to sign system apps on Android builds, including the "android" app itself. These certs are being used to sign malicious Android apps!

@ChromiumDev @googlechrome Looks like someone at @ChromiumDev saw the accessibility crashes tweet and reopened the ticket.

Chrome crashes for me every couple of days on Android on the Pixel 7 Pro (with all of its 12GB of RAM), so I reported at least 6 crashes to @ChromiumDev. In return, all I got was: you're using Accessibility, so lolfuckyou, Status: WontFix. Not a good look, @googlechrome.

@Bluewall think of how this could have saved android manufacturers from embarrassment. really makes u think where android could be now.

@championswimmer It was something about that time zone not being valid before 90 (rounding here) and some internal cache not being cleared. Your post reminded me of that heh

@championswimmer I once fixed a bug on Android with weird time zone issue. It was like if you changed the date to before ‘90; and selected some Eastern European language (I forgot details…) and set it to a specific time zone it would boot loop the device from SUW. It was a crazy deep and fun bug

So ughh... deeper down the rabbit hole... Asia/Kolkata and Asia/Calcutta timezones aren't interchangeable for dates before 1/1/1996 Also why tf was our timezone "5:21:10" ahead of GMT. Why not a round number? 🤯
