Charlie wasn't "racist" per se, but, he did often bring up crime stats to paint the black community in a bad light WHILE not explaining how that happened. Decades of redlining, jim crow, over policing, FBI and CIA meddling, etc etc is what did the damage. The US beat them down and then complain when they get the results of that treatment.

The problem with answering your question is that you will ignore causes. Nigerian immigrants are some of the most successful immigrant groups in America, and 2nd generation Nigerians have the highest education rates, higher than any other group, European whites, jews, Indians and Asians included. The issue is the black family in America has been decimated by many factors. 99% of which being government caused. It's not a race thing.
