Just checking whether my fellow Clinicians are all following the NICE Tennis Elbow Scenario management plan, or whether we are allowed to pick out the bits we don't fancy the look of. Context: I was sternly lectured to during Covid that I should ONLY be doing what NICE says

However, those trust where there are audits / proper clinical governance, they tend not to scan >55 unless there is a strong reason.

Been doing some CPD on when imaging may be appropriate. I find knees really difficult. Knowing when to x-ray, & when to MRI (ie in older patient if x-Ray shows mild to mod OA but they report being unstable post injury)…any good articles/guidelines people recommend?@snickalous

@jackconran8 @MRheumy @jwhatleyPT @physioinely @DrJN_SportsMed Few pointers: 1- Is there an instability? 2- are these mechanical symptoms including locking? 3- are the symptoms inconsistent with the findings of x-rays? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then you may wish to MRI.

@iihtishamm Please educate yourself on rehab post injuries. Physios are dealing with all sorts of injuries and not ‘docs’. Ronaldo who was famous footballer thanked his physio after returning to football. Recently, women euro cup winner dedicated her goal to physio who treated her. 1/2
