#politicswest panel to discuss the local elections, a Labour MP, a Reform MP and a Lib Dem council leader. No Tories 🤷‍♂️

@BethRigby Can you show you maths for how Tories are 68% down on 2025? In seeing no statistics that support that

STATE OF PLAY this morning - Reform the big winners overnight Labour & Tories the big losers - Loss rate so far of Tories and Labour on 2025 results is 68% for Tories and 66% for Labour . THESE AMONG WORST RESULTS EVER RECORDED IN LOCAL ELECTIONS - What does loss rate tell us for Labour? COULD be heading for losses of 1.500+ seats, but not quite at Armageddon of 2,000 - REFORM is taking support in the Labour areas, Farage riding the Johnson red wall wave

The Moon Landing Conspiracy Ends with India. For decades, skeptics have claimed the Apollo 11 landing in 1969 was staged. But an independent space agency has delivered undeniable proof.India’s Chandrayaan-2 orbiter, flying at about 100 km above the lunar surface, passed over the Sea of Tranquility and captured high-resolution images of the exact landing site.Right there, inside the marked circle, sits the descent stage of the Lunar Module Eagle — the very hardware Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin left behind on July 20, 1969.This isn’t NASA imagery. It’s ISRO — captured by Indian scientists with their own spacecraft and their own camera (the Orbiter High-Resolution Camera). The hardware is still exactly where history says it should be, casting a long shadow across the lunar dust more than 55 years later.Third-party confirmation from a completely independent nation. No collaboration needed. Just clear orbital evidence. The Moon landings happened. The proof keeps piling up — now from another country that has reached the Moon with its own technology.Case closed.

@Rik_w2010 @KemiBadenoch That’s weird . Over the last week I’ve been ringing round my friends who aren’t Conservative Councillors and activists Every single one has the same messages 1. Bad enoch is absolutely shocking . Put her under any sort of pressure and she crumbles. 2. Never ever trust a Tory

Over the last week or so I have been ringing round my friends who are Conservative Councillors and activists. Every single one has the same messages: 1. @KemiBadenoch is popular on the doorsteps and some Reform waverers are considering voting Conservative tactically. 2. Reform is only campaigning hard in a few seats. Many of their candidates barely qualify as paper candidates. 3. Labour support has fallen off a cliff. 4. Greens are doing well in Labour areas. 5. The Lib Dem’s are absent from the field. I feel that Conservatives will do better than most polls are predicting this Thursday coming.

@BBCBerkshire I’m not a doubter, I am 100% certain that Richardson is the worst manager in the history of the club and the club will continue to go backwards every day he remains in post

@mikerzr This manager is completely and utterly incompetent and the club will continue to go backwards every day he is still here. Lifelong fans are walking away, it’s that bad. It may cause disruption but he HAS to go

2/2 Booing and calling for Richardson’s sacking feels like a call for the sort of instability we wanted Rob Couhig to make a thing of the past. Consistency is needed to ensure the timely recruitment and a greater chance of success next season. Patience needed. #readingfc

I’m going to stick my head above the parapet 🪖 I’m not going to argue that #readingfc has provided the greatest entertainment in the last couple of months but after the last few years we’ve had I’m grateful there’s football to watch at all. 1/2

A Reform UK led council in East Surrey would bring chaos and toxic rhetoric to our doorstep. If you, like me, are horrified by that prospect then there’s only one way to stop it - vote Lib Dem on May 7th. Vote for a fresh start for East Surrey, not a step backwards.
