@COVIDSWAG @SnarkyCyclistAB @AltHistCody I work on the team doing JWST observations of this field (Abell 2744 lensing cluster aka Pandora’s Cluster) and we’ve detected over 50,000 galaxies in these images.

@SnarkyCyclistAB @AltHistCody the scale is just amazing. Webb's First Deep Field here covers a section of sky that would be like a grain of sand held arm's length from your eye

Amazing galaxy in the new JWST UNCOVER imaging of Abel 2744! It's probably experiencing ram pressure stripping by hot gas in the cluster. The data were reduced by @gbrammer . There will be a paper on the first data soon!
