@lsob_ @abhishekbhaya @ShashiTharoor And one more thing here in Pakistan elections don't run on Indian name or Hindu enemy propaganda. I know not every Pakistani is good some of our citizens are worse then Indians but they don't commit crime if they do they'll face justice.

My mom just got a decent amount of cash. And we have already decided to invest most of it in S&P 500 (US index fund).
However, everyone and their mother has an opinion on what we should be doing with that money.
And these are all close friends, family, people we love, well meaning people, lovely people.
Now if this was the US, I would have just bluntly told everyone, thank you for your advice, but we know what we want to do.
But in India, one worries if such bluntness would offend people.
So have listened to 6-8 hours of advice so far on what we should be doing with that money and expect 6 hours more and a couple of meetings that are pointless.
God, I miss American bluntness ...!!! Bindhaas bool do, koi dil pe bhi nahi leta.
