Dear 'feminist' boy-mums, No, you can't 'raise boys to respect girls'. Once he starts school, you lose your influence over him. Society steps in and takes over. What his peers think becomes more important. You’re just the commentary track. "Sigh, yes mum, whatever you say mum."

BDSM culture derives from the enslavement of black people. That's why their vocabulary consists of words like 'master' and 'slave'. It's really weird how the modern left defends the most regressive and conservative ideas and has re-branded them as progressive. Same applies to psychiatry which they also defend; the field has the most racist and misogynistic history.

Radical feminism rejects the idea that patriarchal frameworks can be reformed or reclaimed. That’s what distinguishes it from liberal feminism, which works within these frameworks rather than seeking to dismantle them.

Men operate as a collective. Women operate as individuals. That seems to be at the root of everything.

@efflorscence not even to mention that it’s absolutely creepy for older people to be preoccupied with the sex lives of young people

I just bit the bullet and upgraded to X premium because I got sick of sending five replies to people instead of just one. now, if anyone annoys me, I will write essays back to them.

The uncomfortable reality is more complex: male behaviour is shaped by a mix of biology, reinforcement, group dynamics, institutional norms, media, and status anxiety. You don’t get to pick one lever and call it solved. And pretending otherwise just sets mothers up for inevitable disappointment and self-blame when their sons don’t turn out like curated liberal feminist essays.

And then there’s the ideological mistake that sits underneath a lot of 'boy-mum feminism', the belief that boys are a blank slate you can individually program into enlightenment if you just try hard enough.

That’s why the 'good male role model' idea is only partially useful. Because even a good man is still one node in a much bigger network. A counter-signal in a system that is actively broadcasting other signals 24/7. If the wider environment rewards something else, the 'role model effect' becomes something closer to: nice input, overridden by default settings.

Boys don’t just absorb 'what men are like', they absorb what gets them respect as boys. And that is often something quite different. Sometimes it rewards dominance, sometimes detachment, sometimes cruelty-as-comedy, sometimes emotional repression disguised as 'banter.'

At first, you are authority. Then you become background. Then you become something they mentally file under 'mum says stuff'. Not necessarily rejected, just downgraded in importance compared to the brutal immediacy of peers.

You are one influence in a child’s life, but you are not the ecosystem. You are not the school corridor. You are not the group chat. You are not the playground hierarchy, the memes, the YouTube algorithm, the casual humiliation rituals of teenage masculinity, or the constant peer surveillance that decides what is 'cool' and what gets you socially exiled at thirteen.

But if you actually want to shift anything, you don’t start by pretending you can single-handedly override an entire ecosystem.

What you say at home becomes background noise, and what their peers think becomes gospel. At a certain point, you’re not shaping their worldview so much as occasionally interrupting it.

how are you a meaningful critic of heteronormativity when you’re literally lesbophobic (most of the core people in this discourse are not lesbians). you are not serious.

I’m a straight feminist who criticizes heteronormativity! That’s actually not the same as saying our feminism is lesser for having a relationship with a man or that our sex is entirely degrading

sometimes it clouds my judgement to the point where I misdirect that anger at women who are actually on the same side, which isn’t fair or constructive, even if I don't agree

@winnielark Thanks for unblocking me. I also want to properly apologise again for how I came at you yesterday. I wasn't in a good frame of mind with all that's going on, and you didn’t deserve that at all.
