No. How you dress is a reflection of how much you respect those around you, and the job/office you hold. If you dress like a clown or an entertainer for children, that says a lot. One of the worst things that happened to western society was everyone excusing people dressing like crap and going out in ridiculous outfits. Total drop in standards.
