@MadelaineLucyH Every time this discourse pops up about how women only read smut and romance, I am reminded, with great chagrin, that the average man does not read at all. Anything is better than nothing. He sounds like a dolt

Went on a date with this guy. Told him I was writing a book. He asked what it was about. I said political thriller. He said that was good because “women just read and write porn trash these days”. I asked him what he reads. He went very quiet and said “philosophy”.

To be fair and clear, they were not the skinniest or prettiest gals, HOWEVER, they were approaching men who were GENUINELY their age and looksmatch. No “chads”. They’re not my friends, I’m being objective here. The men were their equals in face, body size, and age. The men would often say they were single, but then just not engage much. They mostly seemed annoyed by the girls.
