Christmas is coming early this year! 🎁 Today, after more than three years of R&D, we are releasing #SootUp, a completely overhauled version of the established #Soot program analysis framework. 🕺🥳🍾 Opposed to Soot, SootUp features a modular, easily testable architecture. (1/n)

Many people have contributed to SootUp and we thank all of them for their enduring support. This work would not have been possible without the generous support by the @dfg_public through the #FutureSoot project. Thank you all!

@JohSpaeth @sootAnalyzer @ShieldCode Adjacent to this, I’ve often wondered if anyone in the JVM static analysis world had written a Spring DI “partial interpreter” so we can treat Spring XML (or Guice, etc.) instantiations of objects the same as raw bytecode ones

At #CodeShield we use (and analyse) #JVM code. We have a Spring back-end and many of our tools are built in Java. For instance, we heavily rely on @sootAnalyzer (@ShieldCode).
Bruno Borges@brunoborges

People think #Java is not used by startups. If you know of a startup, or you worked at one, or you are actively working at one today that is using the #JVM for back-end with #Java, #Kotlin, #Scala, #Clojure or #Groovy, give this tweet an RT. reddit.com/r/java/comment…
