@rabbitsaints i dont necessarily agree with everything you said about her but i do respect it and no one should hate you for it. Nat’s just as flawed and messy as all the characters and the ‘she’s an angel 🥰🥰’ attitude around her drives me (someone who does love her) absolutely nuts too

there’s really like nothing they could do to mistynat that could make me hate them i don’t think… idk i just love them very much and even if they do manage to ruin them, i don’t think i’d ever lose the love i have for them currently

Rivals to lovers mistynat but the beef is entirely on Nat’s side and Misty is just Like That. So when they finally get to the becoming friends stage Nat says something like “remember when we hated each other” and Misty just blinks at her in confusion and says “I never hated you”

@catrahark that’s the version of mistynat i really do think Misty would drive her fucking nuts and she wouldn’t like her initially. she’d hate having someone always on her ass about doing things Exactly Their Way and Misty would be annoying about that

@stardustalien16 Yeah lmao. The vision of this in my head is that they’re either co-workers (maybe Misty as Nat’s boss even) or in college together. Misty never actually hates Nat but she acts in a way that could imply that bc she tends to be on her ass a lot bc she has very particular standards.

@catrahark of her childhood (i think hitting Misty is what pulled her out of the rage she was in during the transponder scene) and i really don’t think she’d ever be physically violent to Travis in a relationship with him

@catrahark someone on tumblr once talked about how Nat hit Misty w her non-dominant hand too (i’d have to rewatch the scene to be sure). even when she through the diffuser at Misty, i don’t think she was trying to hit her. i’d guess being physically violent with others does remind her—

i think there’s a good chance my soulmate au and my ‘Nat’s date Misty’s ex’ fics will be my only longer fics but idk sometimes the fact mistynat doesn’t have a lot of longer fics just about them makes me a little sad because their weird ass dynamic deserves it

@catrahark yeah. like even with Jeff, as much as i don’t like him i can at least appreciate his role in Shauna’s life and what it says about her entire adult life. with Walter, i get his role but he just pisses me off and i’d rather see other relationships for Misty explored

@catrahark so will i 😭😭 that’s like ultimately my biggest problem w Walter, by making him such a big presence in her life (especially in s2) it takes away from her much more interesting relationships with the yjs. her and Tai could be so interesting if they did it right!

@stardustalien16 Yeah. I hope they do something interesting with taimisty in S4. I’m going to be mad if it ends up actually being short-lived and Misty gets stuck with Walter as her main screen partner again 😒
