@lsaiz @lady_nerd The economics are much better if you have a grid connection. Smaller battery and fewer panels needed. For pure off-grid a combined heat and power system can also help avoid spending $ to cover those 10 days per year of crappy weather

Does the math work for installing solar in nz? 38k install including battery would take upto 15 years to break even and half the gear is only guaranteed for 10-15
