@Guy_Jones215 @PhillyPMC True, about him being injured a lot. But appendicitis is not an INJURY, it's an ILLNESS. One set is due to his particular line of work (sports, injury); the other happens even to civilians IRL (stomach bug, Covid, flu, etc)
Two different categories. ✌️
English

@stulterer @PhillyPMC I go through this every year who will tell me “he can’t help his meniscus went” he can’t help his orbital was broken. He can’t help he got appendicitis. He can’t help that he got a stomach bug.
That’s why it’s called injury prone. He’s prone to these things more than average
English

Joel Embiid is arguably the most physically talented player in Sixers history. But he’s too injury prone to ever trust. The Sixers should have traded him 3 years ago. While it’s too late for that now, it isn’t too late to clean house otherwise. Fire Morey and Nurse. Morey doubled and tripled down on a hobbled Embiid and oft-injured Paul George, instead of scrapping them both and building around Maxey and Edgecomb. (And don’t even get me started on the embarrassing McCain trade— he should be fired for that alone). Nurse is largely incompetent and living off his one championship win. And do whatever you can to move Paul George this offseason. Maybe you can find a championship contender willing to take on that contract.
I don’t have any faith in Harris and Co. having a backbone and making the bold moves necessary to win like Roseman and Lurie do routinely. But maybe this time he will surprise us and do the right thing.
English
@Pat_Egan "Smidge"? Is that a medical term? According to your online degree from...Belize? Or Bhutan? OK Doc! 😂
Can't even express sympathy without qualifying it. Smh
English
@PhillyCentral2 @PhillyPMC That's not what I was talking about. And you jumped in. Your screaming, and childish name calling doesn't make up for your obvious mistake.
But carry on. Now I'm going to block you, because there's no value added
English

@PhillyCentral2 @PhillyPMC I'll be slow. I'm talking about this particular case. You jumped into the conversation. Learn to read. The team called it an ILLNESS, not an injury. There's a difference. Reading is fundamental. Again: he has been injured. A LOT. But appendicitis isn't an injury.
Take your time
English
@PhillyCentral2 @PhillyPMC Guy, is Covid an injury? Or the flu?
Being a potty mouth isn't going to clear up your category error. He has been injured a lot. Appendicitis isn't an injury. It's a medical condition. Have a nice day, but get your facts straight.
✌️
English
@PhillyPMC Appendix surgery is a life emergency, not an "injury."
Joel has been injured, a lot. Just like other centers playing a sport that they biomechanically shouldn't (even Giannis). Even smaller humans get hurt often:
AJ (Brown), Pulisic...
But appendicitis isn't an injury ✌️
English

@stulterer Come on man. If you think Embiid’s injury issues are limited to this latest injury you haven’t been paying attention for the last 10 years. Every single year ends early because of an injury. He’s injury prone. There’s no argument against this.
English
@TommyKelly44 Jumped the gun (again) with your insensitive premature BS. And it's flat out wrong. 6ers already beat Houston this year, in January. Remember? Maxey balled out, and Joel had a triple double.
Smh.

@KyleNeubeck
Thanks for the Emergency Pod! My PHLY sub >> my Inky sub
Tough break all around. Your parting question: "Whether the team, and Maxey want to go through this again?"
Has to be asked, but Maxey too has been hurt & limped to the finish the past two seasons! Dommage!
English
@NBAKrell Maxey was bad—but maybe the pinkie flared up? He rushed back, and hasn't been exceptional since. And last year he struggled, with a similar inquiry...
English

The Sixers are going to lose a bad one in San Antonio on a night when Atlanta also lost. Wembanyama only played the first half. The Spurs went small for much of the second half and Luke Kornet got in foul trouble.
Embiid was quite good. George was pretty good. Maxey came up small.
The game was lost when Nurse put in Andre Drummond to start the fourth for four minutes, a span during which the Spurs were +7.
English
@Tjonesonthenba Also, Oubre for Barlow didn't work our well. His shot didn't fall
English
@Tjonesonthenba No. Tyrese stank. He didn't shoot well, didn't play off Joel well, and was strikingly passive. A B- game from him and it's a different story. (Also PG faded, largely because Spurs shaded away from Tyrese to pester him)
English

The shot diet stunk tonight. No other way to put it
Emptied assets@jimmyjam1102
@Tjonesonthenba Been falling apart...no wemby and kornet with foul trouble and we shoot a ton of jumpers.
English
@spurs_muse Oh no! Victor has a left rib contusion and won't return. That sucks man. The PG play wasn't dirty—both were going for the ball at full tilt, but it's a bummer for sure
Heal up quickly, big V. 👽

@spurs_muse Lol #StarWars
Gets home both bigs remain healthy 🤞

@spurs_muse Joel has 20-6-0-2. Also extraterrestrial, exospheric, otherworldly... 👽

@PHChess A little too much tipple of Aquavit?
Fabi is now 2:0 while playing "unnaturally," as you claim.
Be a little less dogmatic, pls
English
@BishopPair Naka is unlikely to get blown off the board. Given they += eval, his opponents are likely to burn a lot of clock later looking to grow their putative advantage. Near the time control, Naka fancies his chances when the situation OTB grows critical.
Like the elder Korchnoi ✌️
English
@BishopPair and is often under the gun early. But, as a self-professed grinder he doesn't much care, and has a wealth of experience in the structures/tabiyas. He might even fall behind on time, at the start
Pros: It's efficient (for him) and evolutionarily bulletproof-ish...
