@LakeShowYo Why do people value Reaves so low? Hes proven he can be a 3 level scorer and primary ball handler. His defense isnt great but neither is half of the league’s Superstars. I feel like 40-45 mil per year for AR is great. Its in the same range as Hali/Murray which is fair to me.

this is rlly hard tho. if a s&t were to happen, it’s because reaves wants to sign with the team. for the sake of the argument, lets say reaves wants to sign with the nets and wants the max, he needs the lakers help to get that done. issue is, who on the nets is actually a needle mover and compensates losing reaves? you can’t js say let’s s&t him for jb bc reaves can simply say no, and even in the case that he says yeah, boston need to be willing to do that trade. unless it’s a team that can give u significant compensation for reaves, a s&t isn’t in the lakers best interest

I’m not an Austin Reaves hater, man. Just because I think the Lakers should explore sign-and-trade options if it means getting a better player doesn’t mean I hate Reaves. In fact, I hope he takes a small discount so the Lakers can build a legit roster around him and Luka next season. We can’t afford to waste their primes.
