There’s a time hubby and I were at the airport. We got into the picture and selfie moment. We took quite a number of them. All nice and laughing. Upon viewing them he told me to delete some coz he didn’t like how he looked in them. I insisted and said No. He insisted and I also insisted it’s my phone. He asked me only one question: So u can’t listen to me if I say I don’t like them? I knew there and then we’ve now crossed into the husband mode and outa friend mode no-more. MAJOR DEVELOPMENT: KZN SAPS Commissioner Nhanhla Mkhwanazi tells my colleague @DasenThathiah that the "BIG 5" has been identified and will be "Neutralised" very soon. He says there is a team in place in Pretoria already, and there are dockets that they have prioritised. #eNCA #MadlangaCommission

Criminals themselves will be funding the national organised crime task team led by Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi. The money will come from the Criminal Assets Recovery Account, where the proceeds of crime are channelled after arrests and prosecution. It means the team Mkhwanazi forms will be able to rely on roughly a billion rand to eliminate criminal networks. He will get to form his own team, with members vetted and selected from across the country. The task team will follow a model similar to the PKTT, meaning it will collaborate closely with the NPA to ensure prosecution-driven investigations. Mkhwanazi is targeting, among other things, tender corruption and drug syndicates. The team will be looking internally, too, to identify and deal with anyone who has infiltrated the SAPS itself. Special focus will also be paid to politicians and any irregular influence on policing or the awarding of tenders. He's given an assurance that KwaZulu-Natal will not be neglected in this process, as he takes on additional responsibilities.  His deployment is initially set down for a year - until the end of March 2027.
