@metsbarmby Staying, working in Matabeleland as a Shona is for those with thick skin. People here are very tribalistic they don't want to see a Shona occupying any position here. Getting a job, promotion, housing stand as a Shona staying in Matabeleland is extremely difficult.

Remember in all this, Pres. ED holds the cards on CAB3 NOT Parliament. He can still stop it or call a referendum. He can manage succession & lead an inclusive national dialogue to unlock & reset Zimbabwe's politics. He can decide his legacy & be either hero or villain in this movie.

There’s something unintentionally iconic about how Joseph Chinotimba delivers his English every sentence sounds like a live, unfiltered translation straight from Shona 😂 Like in that clip where he’s explaining the bond note you can hear the thought process crossing languages in real time, but somehow the message still lands! It may not always be polished, but it’s always honest. No PR training, no filters just a man who speaks exactly what’s on his mind. And honestly, you’ve got to respect that. 📸 @NehandaTV

@NNyashaYessur @ChorosWalt The issue might be on the amount of energy needed to process the type of oil coming from Angola. I understand Iranian oil composition makes it cheaper to process into other by-products which makes it attractive.

Why can't SADC countries come together and build an Oil Refinery Plant in Angola and build pipe lines that service all these countries instead of spending millions of dollars buying fuel in the Middle East What stops Africans from doing this?.

Retired Generals and ex-combatants, represented by Retired Air Marshal Henry Muchena have written to parliament imploring the legislative body to submit constitutional amendment bill 3 of 2026 to a referendum. Drawing from the history of Zanu-PF, the Retired Generals submit that power is derived from the people therefore any changes to the constitution of the nature proposed in CAB3 should be subjected to a vote by the people in a referendum. They cite the 2000 constitutional commission document which the Retired Generals claim was their brainchild which was subjected to a referendum and rejected by the people. The Generals say that was democracy at play and they accepted the people's will. The Generals, in their letter to parliament, are unequivocal that voting for a President through parliament is inimical to the principle of universal suffrage and one man one vote which they fought for. They are livid that MPs cannot vote on behalf of the 17 million Zimbabweans as that would be tantamount to returning to the Ian Smith era of qualified suffrage where a select few would vote on behalf of the masses. The Generals also point out that through the 2013 constitution, the people of Zimbabwe mandated, through section 212 of the constitution, the Zimbabwe Defence Forces to uphold and defend the constitution and that they will not be onlookers while some remnants of G40 are trying to steal away that duty from the ZDF without the approval of the people of Zimbabwe who gave the ZDF that mandate through the overwhelming majority vote for the constitution in the May 2013 referendum. The Generals declare that they're "stockholders" in Zanu-PF therefore they have a right to shape and influence the direction the party should take. So the Generals have spoken, submit CAB3 to the people to vote for or against it in a national referendum.
