Here are the questions: 1. What is the legal implication of celebrating 3 different marriages in 3 different countries? 2. What type of marriage is this marriage called under family law? 3. Demonstrate the notable theories that apply to this kind of marital arrangement. 4. Consider the fact that the couples are Yoruba, and Nigerians, can Nigeria laws apply to their marriage, vis-a-vis the principle of Lex loci celebrationis 5. Assuming it’s a dissolution proceedings, will your answers in 1 and 4 above be different? If yes, why? If no, why? 6. Does the celebration of marriages in different countries confer any special status on the children of the marriage? Qualifications: 1. Must be a law student in a Nigerian university or Nigerian law school. 2. Lawyers are not eligible to participate. 3. Answers must not be more than 5pages. Typed and clearly written. 4. Only top 3 winners will be selected. 5. Winners will be selected Wednesday, and be announced on Thursday. 6. All entries must be in latest 11.59pm. 7. 1st position: 100k, second position: 60k and 3rd position: 40k. 8. Your answers must not refer to the real names of couples. Otherwise, it is automatic disqualification. NB: this is just for learning purposes. Good-luck to the participants and the winners.
