Tamil Nadu has lost the opportunity to increase their political power and its rightful share of 20 more MP seats. We have not only lost the golden opportunity given by Honourable Prime Minister Thiru. @narendramodi Avl to get 50% more seats .., but @mkstalin being a puppet and not understanding the crux of the opportunity, you blindly opposed it. If delimitation had been done based on 2011 census, we would have lost 9 MP seats. Because of your mindless opposition to the bill, the delimitation will now be based on 2026 census and we will lose even more MP seats. Further, in 1998, Hon’ble Puratchi Thalaivi Amma, has brought women’s reservation bill under then PM Vajpayee ji leadership. During that time, your own INDI Alliance partners ensured that the bill did not get passed. This time around, you have killed that very spirit by opposing the bill and have done greatest injustice not only to #TamilNadu but also to the women all across India. Every time we think @narendramodi can’t go any lower, that’s what Modi does. Modi has now used Doordarshan - India’s national broadcaster funded by the tax payer —NOT to address citizens concerns on LPG, fuel or jobs— but to make an out and out political party speech targeting the opposition. Modi misuses every institution for pathetically short sighted low level politics and has just misused yet another public platform. Shameful, disgraceful and desperate. Bro is Tejasvi Surya.
He is a BJP MP from South India.
He claims that South India has received 250% more funds under BJP compared to the UPA.
But he is comparing 2004–2014 with 2014–2024, which naturally shows large percentage increases.
This rise is not unique to Southern states because tax collections have grown over time.
By this logic, he could say one day that India’s budget during Jawaharlal Nehru was ₹500 crore & now under Narendra Modi it is ₹50 lakh crore, an increase of about 10,00,000% 😭

Tamil Nadu (then Madras State): 3.37 crore
Madhya Pradesh: 3.24 crore
Rajasthan: 2.12 crore
Today:
Tamil Nadu: 3.37 crore → 7.6 crore (about 126% increase)
Madhya Pradesh: 3.24 crore → 8.8 crore (about 172% increase)
Rajasthan: 2.12 crore → 8.2 crore (about 287% increase)
India as a whole has grown by around 220% since 1961.
Tamil Nadu’s share of India’s population has reduced from 7.7% to about 6.0% because it followed the country’s population control policies better than many others.
So now tell me, who actually worked harder for the country by controlling population growth and improving social indicators?
What were those 29 + 25 MPs doing all these years? - NOTHING!
Tamil Nadu reduced fertility, improved healthcare, improved literacy, created jobs and developed its economy.
Where do Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan stand today compared to Tamil Nadu in terms of development, despite all the potential they had?
And now, after not doing enough for decades, you want even more MPs than before? To spoil more?! To Loot More?! Who is fooling whom here?
