@DaveOCKOP Please can we just end the season now so we can accept the inevitable & move on. This is beyond pathetic. If it were a wounded animal, you'd have euthanised it.

Liverpool could have lost that game 6-0, easily. Liverpool had 26% possession, 26%! Premier League champions, not 1 shot on target in a Champions League quarter-final. It's an absolute calamity.

Unlikely & interesting fact: Liverpool are actually the current champions of England... ...how? The drop off from 12 months ago should be a case study.

Never mind though the boys look good in Tommy Hilfiger gear, MacAllister has had a nice trim & Wirtz is good at basketball. What an absolute embarrassment of a team this is for reigning Premier Lge Champions and top of that list is Hughes & Edwards not sacking Slot ages ago 👎

@TheTeamOfJocks @henrywinter @jonathanrholmes 100% agreed on this. There's no evidence that Slot will get us into CL & win any trophies this season. You might as well get Alonso in now. If we fail to get CL, amongst many things, we become a harder sell. If slot's going to go, pull the trigger now.

@henrywinter @jonathanrholmes Why do we have to wait till we are inevitably out of CL , FA Cup and CL race before we do the inevitable. This season has been horrendous and a change now gives us a fighting chance in all 3 . If Carrick can get a bounce as interim , Gerrard gets an even bigger one

Liverpool’s anaemic title defence has to go down as one of the worst in years. To play with this lack of intensity, this lack of organisation defensively, this lack of pace is so poor and reflects badly on Arne Slot. Liverpool teams have identity. This one doesn’t.  Liverpool are such a difficult watch: good players shorn of energy and belief (Kerkez and Mamardashvili played well, Ngumoha deserves to come on earlier). Mitigating factors exist, including the failure to move earlier last summer and land Marc Guehi that proved very damaging.   A decision has to be made on Slot in the summer, but surely not now. Not while Liverpool are still in the Champions League  - although PS-G’s Kvaratskhelia, Dembele, Barcola and Doue will take some stopping by that vulnerable defence. Not while they are still in the FA Cup - although they travel to Manchester City four days before visiting PS-G. And not while they still have a chance of finishing in the top five - although their run-in involves run-ins: Everton, Manchester United and Aston Villa away. Fulham, Palace, Chelsea (six-pointer) and Brentford at home. Forbidding schedule. #LFC

@henrywinter It's inevitable Slot will be sacked so why wait & fail to qualify for CL? He wont get us there. Get Alonso in now and give him something to build on. Slot was perfect for last season but isnt the man to take us forward.

@henrywinter What evidence says we'll get top 5, win FA Cup & win CL? We've been on a downward trend since the backend of last season. This shouldnt be about what will save Slot. This should be about what will give LFC the best chance of success this season & going forward.

@Delboy310859 @DaveOCKOP Agreed. Total shambles. I think Wirtz will come good but i question why so much was spent on him with so many other positions needing sorting. Thats on the board. What we see on the pitch in terms of tactics, lack of fitness, fight etc is all on Slot.

I can take losing a game once you know everyone gave 100%, unfortunately that's not the case. It's easy to get up for a Champions League game under lights at Anfield. The best teams in the world show up for every single game. That was nothing short of pathetic from effort to lacking any sort of attacking threat until it was too late. Woeful.

@MichaelO1994 @DaveOCKOP I do think the squad depth is a problem. Chiesa, Jones & Gakpo aren't good enough to play for LFC. I dont think any team in the top 6 would sign them. After that its mainly kids on the bench. A LFC squad should be better than that. I agree with you about the rest though, so bad.

@thoughts4lfc @DaveOCKOP I disagree on bench being awful, its not the best but there's multiple players on there that offer more than gakpo and in most games macca too, just piss poor squad selection and tactics set up to kill our own counters and play slow football, gakpo playing is a crime.

@thisisanfield Id make the change now. There is no evidence we will get CL football, we're obviously not going to get past city or PSG. So why wait? Why risk it?

It was a strange decision not to give Curtis Jones ANY minutes vs Galatasaray after his fantastic performance against Wolves Yet another sign that he’s probably off this summer

@thisisanfield @HenryJackson87 As I keep saying, both these things are true; Slot did an amazing job in his 1st season when his job was to build on a settled team. He way overperformed and won title Slot is doing a terrible job in his 2nd season where his job is to build a new team to defend the title

@thisisanfield I stand by it. The decline started in Feb last year in the final v NUFC. Since then the form has been abysmal and has been consistantly inconsistant. We're the champions & look unlikely to come 5th. Not good enough.

@AnfieldWatch Nothing has changed since our drop off last Feb that started in the final v NUFC. This form has lasted over a year. No signs of it changing. We're awful to watch. Every game is the same. Doing well in the cups will just paper over the cracks. He's got to go.
