@MoviesThatMaher It feels so nice that they are using Superman for the face of the Superman Saga, no matter how silly it sounds.

Smart move from Gunn. Superman grossed over $600M at the Worldwide Box Office, I’m glad they are using Corenswet in the marketing because this should help it!

@whenbatmenfly Like I feel Superman excelled at this, even being in a universe with a bunch of established heroes, it felt like a much closer look at Clark and his relationship with earth and defending it from other people on earth, instead of starting with Brainiac.

@whenbatmenfly I think Galactus wasn’t the right pick for the villian for the first movie, he feels like a sequel. I would’ve prefered to see Fantastic Four deal with earthly conflicts and see the people of earth fall in love with them as heroes so when Galactus comes you feel the terror

This is what I’ve been saying. The movie tries to cram in so much backstory in 2 hours. They needed a movie where they’re in their early days to establish the family dynamic.

@ComicsCuts I do agree, it’s way different because like you said RDJ literally elevated Ironman from a B-list comic book character (if I’m being considerate) to a A-list Hollywood star. However, I do still think Corenswet is a generational casting for Superman.

I’m a fan of Corenswet but this is a wild take. RDJ won audiences over as a new character that they weren’t familiar with, and just had an insane level of charisma. This perspective fails to understand why RDJ’s Iron Man was so successful.
