Wonderful time this week at the @ToposBio and @modal JPM event on "small molecules and big computers!" With their new foundational model Topos-1, the team has been able to characterize disordered proteins in a way that hasn't been achievable before. Instead of just returning one static protein structure, Topos-1 is able to generate tens of thousands of protein conformations in minutes, at full atomic resolution. Thanks Modal for the computational muscle. Terrific to see the pharma partner response to the team's data around intrinsically disordered targets for Parkinson's disease and prostate center. Excited for what's to come!

Thrilled to announce we co-led a $10.5M seed round in @ToposBio, an AI drug discovery company founded by @r_zarcone and @khosra, along with @Boldstartvc @ellenchisa, with participation from @neo @NaveenGRao @dkhos. We've known Amir for over 10 years since leading the Series A of his prior company @nervanasys. Excited to see him join forces with Ryan, a drug discovery expert from Fountain Therapeutics and @Redwood_Neuro, to tackle one of the hardest problems in drug discovery. Topos is building an integrated discovery platform specifically designed for intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs), notoriously hard to drug and responsible for devastating diseases like Alzheimer's and cancer. We're inspired by their work to push humanity forward free of intractable disease. Congratulations Ryan, Amir and team!
