@traceitback The Church opens a case for Sainthood and proceeds to conduct a possible decades, or even centuries long investigation into the person's life. There must be, I believe 3, witnessed, documented & scientifically proven miracles confirmed.

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli I can get down on my knees here and ask God for graces etc in Jesus name like he taught us in scripture but you have at your saints /mary etc. I am done going around and around like this and it makes me sad to see what religion has done . Take care, blessings.

@traceitback @UcheMaryOkoli Meaning, you're a Catholic & can't find a Catholic Church on a Sunday to get to Mass? We read the daily Mass scripture readings and ask God to send us the graces we would otherwise receive by receiving the Eucharist at Mass.

If you can ask your mortal Pastors and friends to pray for you, why are you offended when Catholics asks the Saints in Heaven to pray for them?
Does your Bible not tell you that anyone who dies in Christ lives?
The Saints in Heaven are way more alive than your most powerful pastors combined on earth.

@vogs_l You put her into a position she would NOT want to be ...and you do worship her look what your devotions from your church said ...she was praised for saving him from hell .....anyway around and around you go ...I will never understand being religious now that I know the difference

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli Why would I attend a church which teaches things that are not scriptural ? If I attend a church it will be gather together like Jesus told us to as brothers/sisters in the Lord, or worship nights etc. I do not need to confess to a man when I can go directly to Jesus

@traceitback @UcheMaryOkoli So I can only assume you are an "unchurched" Christian by your lack of answering my question and claiming Jesus "is the church" which has no basis in scripture. Jesus is the head of the Church and the Catholic Church is its body, left to carry on until Jesus returns.

Jesus SAID he is the ONLY mediator between us and God yet, you pray to so called saints to intercede for you, it makes no sense sorry and yes you twist to justify traditions

@traceitback @UcheMaryOkoli Our practices, Traditions are 100% directly from Scripture & been practiced since the 1st cen. I've sighted scripture, history, 1st cen Church Fathers...you can say it's "twisting" scripture but the mental gymnastics one has to do to UNSEE the Catholic faith in the OT & NT

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli I grew up Catholic until my mother caught on and then we went to Christian churches ...NONE of which prayed to Mary only Jesus /God and NONE had statues etc. which the ministered knelt down etc. No confessing to a man or saying repetitive prayers in repentance ....

@traceitback St. Alphonsus, an 18th cen Dr of the Church, had a devotion to Mary, including using the term "adore" (or worship) in some prayers & writings. However, in Catholic theology, this is understood as intense veneration (hyperdulia), not the divine worship (latria) due to God alone.

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli what happens to those where there are no Catholic church ? see...I can worship from home, in nature, at the beach etc. Worship comes from the heart not the church

@traceitback @UcheMaryOkoli Not strictly, but since Caths have the Sacraments, Sacraments are ALMOST always celebrated in a consecrated Church. So the vast majority of our worship takes place in a church. Our highest form of worship is the Holy Mass.

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli come on .....we are human ...just like the ones who brought into your church things not taught in the bible no matter how hard you try to twist the scripture to believe ....you justify carved images ...you justify the need to have others beside Jesus intercede for you etc

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli your churches interpretations brought in things the scriptures do not teach ....like other religions have done also ....once a believer reaches a certain point they should be on meat like the bible teaches and should be able to see what is religion and what is spirit
